About Me
Hi 👋! I'm Kavya Vaddadi, a Computer Science PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins University in the Langmead Lab, where I develop computationally efficient tools to mitigate reference bias in large-scale genomics analyses. Previously, I earned a dual degree in Computer Science with a Master's in Data Science & Analytics from IIIT Hyderabad, India, worked as a Research Scientist at TCS Innovations R&D Labs, India, and spent a summer interning at Bristol Myers Squibb, Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Outside of work, I love cooking, exploring nature trails, and reading books (see what I'm reading). 😊
